To appreciate the story of Simply Fish, you'll want to know more about my passion for seafood. My love for fish grew at an early age. I'm a native Southern Californian, third-generation Japanese American who grew up in the "South Bay" and graduated from Gardena High in 1977. At an early age my father taught me the techniques of catching, filleting, and fish preparation. I grew up fishing on the local fishing boats and embarking on many long-range trips out of San Diego and Mexico. As much as I enjoyed a visit to a top seafood restaurant near me while growing up, I couldn't help but notice that something was missing. My dream was to take that passion for fishing and turn it into what's missing from dine in seafood restaurants near me. My mission was clear: incorporate the best attributes of quick-style restaurants near me that serve fish into a full-service dining restaurant.
